Sell Thru is an independently operated, private item-research app. Updated September 23, 2026.

Accounts

Clerk handles sign-in, passwords, email verification and sessions. When you continue with Google, your account identity, basic profile and email are used for authentication and account recovery; we do not request access to your Gmail messages. Our backend stores an account identifier and access settings. Connecting eBay adds an encrypted seller credential or a hashed sign-in identifier; we never receive your eBay password. Apple credentials, when used, are encrypted for account-deletion revocation.

Searches and photos

Submitted search terms and barcodes go to eBay and SoldComps for listing results. A deliberate Lens search sends one compressed photo through temporary private Cloudflare storage to SearchApi for Google Lens processing. Research results are cached for at most 12 hours. Temporary Lens photos are deleted after processing, with a one-day expiration backstop. Providers handle submitted data under their own policies; deleting our copy does not establish deletion from their systems.

Saved items and drafts

Items you save retain their title, query and an optional small thumbnail until you delete the item or account. Drafts retain the fields and compressed item photos you choose. A connected eBay account also has a compact listing cache; opening an editor retains the selected listing fields. Disconnecting or deleting your account removes that cache. Ended cached listings without a linked editor expire after 30 days. Listing images are fetched directly from providers; we do not archive them. Temporary camera frames stay on your phone and are never uploaded. Unsynced edits remain on your phone until synchronized or deleted.

Security and deletion

Cloudflare hosts the backend, database and private images. We use bounded request, security and quota records without storing a browsing or photo history. We do not sell personal data or use advertising trackers. In the app, open Account > Delete account to request deletion. Resolve pending eBay listing actions first. Deleting this app account leaves your eBay listings active. Cleanup can take time for interrupted uploads; previously issued image links expire within five minutes. Short deletion records prevent old requests from recreating deleted data.

If an Apple token could not be retained, account deletion still proceeds; you can also revoke the app under Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account settings.

Email support@sellthruapp.com for help or privacy requests. Support correspondence is stored separately from app accounts, with private attachments and access restricted to the operator. Messages remain until removed; Trash is deleted after 30 days.
